Our Authenticating Ethos
Authentication is the foundation of our business. In an industry where sophistication of counterfeits continues to rise, true verification requires more than surface-level checks — it requires expertise, accountability, and uncompromising standards.
Timepiece360®’s 4 Step Authentication Process
At Timepiece360, we partnered with TP Labs to conduct verification for both new and pre-owned luxury watches.
Our meticulous inspection process is designed to confirm the authenticity, condition, and performance of every timepiece.
We have developed a watch-by-watch approach to deliver precise and accurate results to watch collectors, buyers, and sellers across the UAE.
Our partner, TP Labs, works with certified in-house watchmakers and an independent dual-verification system to ensure each authentication is handled with the care expected for high-value timepieces.
Every assessment is also supported by Timepiece360, providing a thorough and reliable evaluation from start to finish.
The process begins by separating the watch case from the bracelet to allow a full and unobstructed inspection of each component.
At this stage, key identification details such as the model number and serial number are carefully checked against brand standards, reference databases, and internal verification benchmarks.
External Inspection
The outer components of the watch, including the crystal, dial, hands, bezel, case, and case back, are closely examined for authenticity, craftsmanship quality, and consistency with original manufacturer specifications. Any signs of tampering, replacement parts, refinishing, or irregularities are documented early in the process. This stage plays an important role in watch authentication, as visual inconsistencies often reveal the first indicators that require deeper review.
Once the external inspection is complete, the watch is tested to confirm that all key functions are operating correctly.
This includes checking the crown, unwinding and winding where needed, testing the date jump, rapid date adjustment, and verifying smooth time-setting functionality. The watch is then placed on a professional timegrapher to measure accuracy, beat rate, amplitude, and overall movement performance.
These tests help identify potential mechanical issues and confirm whether the watch is performing within acceptable standards. For clients seeking this step of luxury watch authentication, we add another level of confidence by assessing real-world operational performance with precision tools.
The case back is carefully opened using specialized tools to access the internal movement in a safe and controlled manner.
A detailed internal inspection is then carried out to verify the authenticity, condition, and correct configuration of the movement. Each visible component is assessed to ensure it aligns with the brand’s expected construction, finishing, and technical specifications.
Following this, the watch undergoes a waterproofing test under controlled conditions to evaluate its resistance to water pressure. This step is particularly important for sports models and luxury watches, where durability, sealing, and movement integrity all contribute to the final authentication outcome.
The final stage focuses on the bracelet and all related components. The bracelet is inspected for overall condition, authenticity, and proper fit, with close attention given to the spring bars, end links, curve fitting, screws, links, and clasp.
Each element is assessed for originality, wear, and correct assembly. Once the full authentication is complete, all findings are compiled into a detailed report that outlines any concerns, inconsistencies, or confirmations of authenticity in a clear and professional format.
With the support of TP Labs and a structured verification process built around precision, independence, and expertise, Timepiece360 delivers trusted watch authentication in UAE for collectors, buyers, and sellers who expect a higher standard of confidence.

Subtle Differences Between Real vs Fake
Modern counterfeit watches are increasingly sophisticated, often replicating exterior aesthetics with alarming accuracy. However, the true differences appear in the details.
We also look at the movement architecture and decoration, weight distribution and case proportions, and serial number depth, placement, and engraving quality. These differences require trained judgment, manufacturer knowledge, and hands-on technical experience. This is why all authentication at Timepiece360® is conducted by certified technicians — never automated systems or basic visual screening.
